Asset Management and Utilities

The purpose of the Utilities Industry is to provide power and water to commercial and residential consumers safely, reliably and cost effectively.

The physical assets involved include Power Stations (Nuclear, Fossil fuels, Hydro, Solar and Wind), and the infrastructure assets to transport the utilities (Transmission and Distribution grids, Water and Gas Pipelines and Pipes etc.).

Maximo Mobile solutions serve to improve the productivity and accuracy of data within both the power station and infrastructure maintenance arenas. Working in both connected and disconnected mode these solutions enable maintenance workers/crews to readily see what activity needs doing, to update and complete work, and to raise new work orders where required.
Maximo Linear provides capabilities that allow linear assets, such as pipelines, to be defined, and for work carried out on these assets to be described the appropriate linear length along the asset.
