The MACS EU approach Print

MACS EU has the strength and ability to assist management in defining implementation objectives that are relevant to the success of the business. We will set and identify performance measurement parameters that support achievement of these objectives. In assembling engineering data there is dedication to careful research and attention to detail. All technical staff of MACS EU qualified as professional engineers or technicians and are experienced in process, manufacturing, Enterprise Asset Management and IT Asset & Service Management.

MACS EU cares for clients

MACS EU places great emphasis upon personal contact for help and trouble-shooting and remains of a size to ensure continuity of these individual relationships with all our clients. Wherever possible, we clearly communicate the work to be done and the results to be achieved in detail as a series of tasks or work statements against which progress and performance may be measured.  For system implementation, the MACS EU approach ensures that all of the resources and expertise involved - software, hardware, specialist engineering - are focused on to the ultimate objective of getting your Enterprise Asset Management system or IT Asset & Service management system quickly into operation to produce a return for your company and your staff.

Industries Served

MACS EU has worked in most sectors of the process industry, facilities maintenance and transportation. Each industry has special features and requirements that influence maintenance and operating policies and hence the procedures needed for their implementation.

Industrial sectors covered include:

  • Oil & Gas Production;
  • Facilities Management
  • Onshore and Offshore Petroleum Refining and Product Storage;
  • Petrochemicals, Synthetic Resins and Plastics;
  • Pharmaceuticals - Primary and Secondary Production;
  • Research & Development Laboratories;

  • Building Services for Various General and Specialised Facilities;

We provide focused industry solutions for Asset Management for each industry.

Facilities

MACS EU is located in Gerrads Cross only 20 minutes of Central London and London Airport, Heathrow. Its modern office facility is supported by computer based systems for project management, database development and communications.

Experience

The background of the majority of MACS EU's senior staff is in the process, energy, extractive and manufacturing industries and their experience stems from both operating and engineering functions. MACS EU has served many major International process companies in oil & gas, petrochemicals, specialist chemicals and pharmaceuticals in the U.K. and Overseas as well as transportation and public sector organisations. A listing of work undertaken and summaries of typical projects can be found on our MACS EU Project List page.

Information Technology

Most of MACS EU's work has been concerned with the application of computerised maintenance management systems, such as IBM Maximo, to enable more accurate planning of work, improved use of resources and subsequent analysis of reported data to support management decisions and provide measures of performance. To be cost-effective and used efficiently, systems and their data must suit their operating environment; interfaces must be compatible and correctly defined, and data is required to be accurate and easily accessible so as to maximise user productivity. MACS EU has, together with its sister companies MACS BV Netherlands and MACS BVBA Belgium, experience of many of the major CMMS systems and is practiced in application of current IT technology and is abreast of IT developments and future trends.
