MACS MapView is an IBM Maximo application developed by MACS. It increases the usability of  the Maximo’s ability to record asset positions and work locations through its Location hierarchy. The Location hiearchy is powerful, but with MACS MapView it just got better. Imagine your planners, help desk operators or dispatchers being able to see the location of high priority Work Orders or critical assets on a map view such as Google Maps or Live Search Maps.

Thanks to the MACS MapView that’s now a reality.

The MACS MapView plugin for Maximo allows a query set from the Work Order or Assets applications to be viewed spatially, against a map background provided by Google or Microsoft Live Search. The icons representing the assets and work are colour coded to represent priority, and a click-through allows selection of any icon within the Maximo Application.
The map window allows all of the normal map manipulations offered by the mapping provider, including
zooming scale, panning, callouts and satellite views.The map window appears as a pop-up once the “Generate Map” command is selected from Maximo’s familiar “Select Actions” command bar, allowing it to be viewed with Maximo or on a separate screen.
