Facilities Management in IBM Maximo Asset Management is now supported by FAME (Facilities and Asset management in one environment), a new development by MACS.

 

IBM Maximo Asset Management and property management has always been an excellent combination, for the so-called hard facilities management. In the area of soft facilities management there has been a clear need for development of specific features. These features can now be found in the solution of FAME by MACS.

 

This facilities management solution in IBM Maximo covers the following topics:

 

  • Room Reservation
  • Parking Reservation
  • Key Management
  • Visitor Registration

 

It means that with this solution your reception or security services are also supported in their daily tasks. Importantly, it uses for example the self-service facilities available within IBM Maximo.

 

With the FAME solution we added the following features:

 

1. Acting as a single point of contact for:

  • Room reservation
  • Organizing meetings, whether or not including catering
  • Order office equipment such as phones and laptops
  • Register new employees
  • Register visitors
  • Issuing and managing keys
  • Give orders to internal and external suppliers through work orders.

 

2. Create work requests

  • Registration of defects and malfunctions
  • Move / adjust / adapt
  • Conference room reservation
  • Manage conference rooms, lending stock (laptops, keys, etc..)
  • Handling purchase orders

 

3. Provide self-service facilities

  • Room Reservation including catering orders
  • Messages (office draw, lamp failure etc.)

4. Recording and monitoring reservations

Register and monitor the various types of reservations within your organisation such as conference rooms, parking and equipment. Further it provides the facilities that are required with the certain reservation such as lunch, coffee, dinner, projector, laptop.

 

5. Register visitors

The security desk can manage the registration of arrival and departure of visitors. Visitors can be registered and logged off. The employees concerned will have the opportunity to see who enters and exits the building.
