End of support for Maximo 7.1 – You need an upgrade

Effective April 30, 2015, fixes, patches, and telephone support are no longer provided for Maximo7.1x and its corresponding components and add-ons of the same version. It is encouraged that you plan to upgrade to IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.5.
Information on upgrading from Maximo 7.1x can be found on the Maximo Upgrade Resources page.

Previous versions of the product interfaced with a deployment engine that could be deployed in either local or global mode. In order to support a simpler method of managing multiple installations of Maximo Asset Management from a single administrative workstation, the deployment engine is now installed in private mode.  MACS  removes downtime as well as offering additional benefits while upgrading your live Maximo server, enabling a realistic and practical upgrade process to allow for rigorous testing and user acceptance.

Maximo upgrade
